Bird Watching

Bird watching in its natural habitat allow a particular overlook on the behaviour of the species.

In Pico Island, there is a large concentration of tiny birds that eat fruit and insects, birds of prey like the kite, which is the symbol of the Archipelago, as well as seabirds like "cagarras" and "garajaus" . The reason for such bird abundances in Pico Island is the easy nidification in the rocks shelters.

As you can see there's a rich fauna both in the sky, land and in the sea of Pico Island.
