This is an activity that collects enthusiasm from many residents of all generations, being performed today in the most traditional possible way.
Such a coast as the Azorean one is perfect for such activity.
Pico's is the second largest coast line of the Azores, whereabout several species abound all year round,
such as Blacktail Comper, Parrot Fish, Conge eel, European Barracuda, etc.
This activity can be performed during the day or at night, when you will be accompanied by
a local experient fisherman who will instruct you all through the activity.
There is even the possibility of cooking on spot the results of your talent!
Comfortable shoes and garments suit to this kind of activity should be used;
- Warm clothing (depending on the time of the year);
- Impermeable trench coat (or similar);
- Hat / solar protector;
- Photo / video camera.
