Aldeia da Fonte is located by the sea in the south of Pico Island, 5 minutes by car from Lajes do Pico, the whaling village of the Azores.

To reach the Azores you can either take a direct flight from Lisbon to Pico or fly from Lisbon to one of the three main Azorean airports: Ponta Delgada (island of S. Miguel), Terceira (island of Terceira) or Horta (island of Faial).

Should you decide to come via Faial, you must then take a 30 min. ferry to Pico.

Should you decide to come via Ponta Delgada or Terceira you then have to fly SATA Air Azores to reach Pico.

If you live in Germany you might want to use the new direct flights Frankfurt / Ponta Delgada by SATA International. If you live in the USA or Canada things will be even easier since you will be able to fly direct from Boston or Toronto to Ponta Delgada (Azores) with Sata International and then fly from Ponta Delgada to Pico with Sata Air Azores.

You may decide to spend your entire holiday on wonderful Pico or also visit some other islands. If you plan to visit only Pico, then probably the best choice is to fly to Horta. Regardless of your itinerary, we strongly advise you to consult your travel agent prior to booking. You should also consult TAP Air Portugal and SATA International airlines, which maintain detailed home pages on the Internet, to avoid unnecessary and annoying stopovers.
